A bubble experience launched in VR on the Oculus Quest. Using the native hand tracking, you are able to make and pop bubbles as you please.
Bubble shader and effects were created using the native shader editor and particle effects system in Unity. I needed to create a believable bubble shader that looked good in VR and ensure that it would be lightweight enough to run multiple iterations of the shader on an Oculus Quest 1 at one time. This was important to get right since the bubbles are the main features of this experience. The bubble shader ended up meeting all of these qualifications, and users were entranced enough to repeatedly keep playing our experience.
